It started out with some amazing statistics, including that there has been an increase of publishers, 953,575 in 5 years! Almost a million people came into the truth in 5 years!
And in the past 13 years, just over 2 million have left the borg. Isn't that heartwarming?!

A New JW Offensive?
by metatron ini am compelled to ask, are we seeing a new effort in apologia by jehovah's witnesses?.
perhaps it is just the vain, 'last-ditch' efforts of a few to defend this sick, unloving cult.
efforts to disprove over 130 years of false promises.

I am convined that they will try to build a compound and motivate their followers to leave everything behind and because Armageddon is coming.
I agree this is coming but I think it's a few years off yet. It will happen once the big decline takes hold. There is noway they will mainstream.

After 100+ years, the Watchtower Society can be summed up in one word...
by Glander inhubris['hju?br?s], hybris.
pride or arrogance2.
(literary & literary critical terms) (in greek tragedy) an excess of ambition, pride, etc., ultimately causing the transgressor's ruin [from greek]hubristic , hybristicadjthey have been able to attract a core of followers, and, like the bullies they are, hold them through a combination of a fear shunning and the childish vision of eternal life in a new world.

Elderelite makes a really good point.
Also, people post about what interests them. A lot of people enjoy fluff. Me, not so much. Frankly I get bored of wading through all the in-jokes and 'kiss the monkey' stuff sometimes (sorry Shamus ). I come here for support and to give support. I know that if a thread is started by certain people, such as Terry, AKJeff, flipper, TD, cedars, Mary, rebel8, 3rdgen, talesin, purplesofa, nugget, sabastious, Lunatic faith, AllTimeJeff (not an exhaustive list, just the first names that spring to mind), then I am likely to enjoy reading it. I go less off the titles and more by the OP.
